Cookie Policy
Last updated: 31 December 2025
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use similar technologies (e.g., local storage) for certain app preferences.
2. Cookies We Use

|---|---|---|
| wc_session | Authentication (HttpOnly cookie) | 30 days |
| dbf_cookie_consent | Stores your cookie preferences | 6 months |
| cf_clearance | Cloudflare bot protection | Session |
These cookies are strictly necessary for core features and security. They cannot be disabled.
Functional
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| pending_invite_code | Helps complete league invite flows | Session |
Analytics & Ad Measurement (optional)
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics - distinguishes users | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics - session state | 2 years |
| dbf_acq | First-touch acquisition attribution (UTM parameters, referrer, landing page, invite token, Reddit click ID and UUID if applicable) | 30 days |
| _rdt_uuid | Reddit Pixel - anonymous user identifier for ad measurement | 90 days |
Analytics & ad measurement cookies help us understand how visitors use our site and measure ad campaign effectiveness. These are only set if you consent. We use Google Analytics for site analytics and Reddit Pixel/Conversions API for ad measurement. The dbf_acq cookie stores where you came from (e.g., search engine, social media, invite link) to help us understand which channels bring visitors and improve onboarding. If you arrived via a Reddit ad, it may also store the Reddit click ID (rdt_cid) and UUID for attribution purposes. The _rdt_uuid cookie is set by Reddit Pixel for anonymous ad measurement. You can withdraw consent at any time via Cookie Settings in the footer, and all tracking will stop.
3. How We Obtain Consent
On first visit, you can Accept, Reject, or Customize cookies. Accepting and rejecting are presented at the same level and with equal ease, consistent with AEPD guidance on avoiding dark patterns.
4. How to Change Your Preferences
You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking "Cookie Settings" in the website footer.
You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking essential cookies may prevent you from using some features of the site.
5. Third-Party Cookies & Consent Mode v2
We use Google Consent Mode v2 (Advanced) for analytics. Here's how it works:
- Before you make a choice: Google Analytics tags may load, but operate in "cookieless mode" — no analytics cookies are set and only anonymous, aggregated pings are sent for basic measurement.
- If you accept analytics: Full analytics cookies (
_ga,_ga_*) are set and detailed analytics data is collected. - If you reject analytics: Analytics cookies are not set. Google tags continue to run in cookieless mode, sending only anonymous pings that help us understand general traffic patterns without identifying you.
This approach complies with GDPR and ePrivacy requirements while allowing us to maintain basic site analytics. You can change your preference at any time via "Cookie Settings" in the footer.
Cloudflare: May set cookies for security purposes (bot protection). These are strictly necessary and cannot be disabled.
6. Local Storage
We also use browser local storage for app preferences:
pwa-install-dismissed— remembers if you dismissed the PWA install promptnotification-nudge-dismissed— remembers if you dismissed the notification prompt
These are functional preferences that improve your experience and do not track you.
